User Roles Explained
+ Subscriber: [Anyone can sign up to be a Subscriber]
- post comments without having to wait for them to be authorized
- secure identity
- personal info page, custom image (avatar), display own website
+ Contributor: [Contributors are upgraded from Subscriber accounts]
- may post blogs that must be approved
- may upload media; media must be attached to blog by editor or admin
+ Author:
- may blog independently and modify their own blogs without moderation
+ Editor:
- moderates all blog content
+ Admin: Owners / IT:
- control user permissions and technical aspects of the overall website / blog
- can do anything imaginable except for view user passwords
NOTE: POSTMUSIC.ORG has special modifications that allow for contributors to have more rights than in typical wordpress configurations.
