nUb Raver Tuesday #55

Hello all. Another NRT is upon us, and I’ve got a couple of choice selects for you from the past few days. It’s been an interesting week to say the least. I’ve sorted through tons and tons of music (new and old), and there wasn’t a whole lot that stood out to me. Here’s what I got:

For starters, let’s talk about the new Miami Horror remix by UK producer Go Go Bizkitt!. It’s GOOOOD. This isn’t the first time we’ve had a solid remix from Go Go Bizkitt! and def not the last. In case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the video for the original tune, I Look To You

Wolfgang Gartner

Wolfgang Gartner

I have been on a year-long Wolfgang Gartner kick and have stated several times how much I love his newer bangin’ tracks, from originals to collaborations to killer remixes. Check out this remix of one of those tracks, Undertaker, by UK DJ/producer Krafty Kuts.

2. Wolfgang Gartner – Undertaker (Krafty Kuts Re-Rub)

Originally based in the UK, electro-house duo Ocelot have been making a lot of noise with their bangin’ remixes and now a handful of sweet originals, including this one called Vincent’s Theme.

We’re all sick of In For The Kill, but there have been at least more than a few sick remixes of the track. I heard of this one recently by iSHiVU, who has at least a couple of other good remixes under his belt too.

4. La Roux – In For The Kill (Ishivu Remix)

I always feel stupid having to blog Uffie tracks, but I do not-so-secretly like a bunch of tracks off Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans. The first single MCs Can Kiss is pretty stupid, let’s face it, but the refix by Far Too Loud (UK) isn’t bad. ADD SUV, on the other hand, is my JAM, and the remix by Azgas is worth a listen.

6. Uffie – ADD SUV (ft. Pharrell Williams) (Azgas Remix)

Scanners

Scanners

Love Scanners. I’ve talked about them a few times already on NRTs, and I’ll say it one more time for effect. LOVE THESE GUYS & GALS. They’ve been getting a lot of attention from bloggers and remixers, including The Chaotic Good who’ve got quite a few other bangin’ hard-hitters in the books.

7. Scanners – Baby Blue (The Chaotic Good Remix)

CEEEEEE-LOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! The Fuck You song has been everywhere, and there’s also already been a few good remixes of the tune too. Le Castle Vania released his remix a few days ago, and so did DJ Kue, who I’ve been becoming more and more obsessed with. You should too, this dude has some of the best electro remixes of big name pop songs this year.

Kavinsky’s two new tracks Nightcall and Pacific Coast Highway are phenomenal. The latter hasn’t been talked about a whole lot, but I’d kinda describe it as Tessarossa Autodrive Part 2 – with the police sirens, 1980s chase scene sequence, Miami Vice-style soundtrack…you know what I’m talking about.

9. Kavinsky – Pacific Coast Highway (Original Mix)

The 2005 me would probably kick my butt right now, because I still haven’t bothered to listen to the new Arcade Fire album, The Suburbs. From the little I’ve heard so far, it sounds pretty solid – very much on par with their older stuff…a perfect continuation, really, of what made them so famous. Here’s a remix of their song We Used To Wait by Pat Lock. Check it out.

10. Arcade Fire – We Used To Wait (Pat Lock Us3d To Wryt Remix)
