This is my top jam right now – the latest, catchy nu disco track by UK producer GRUM called Can’t Shake This Feeling. There’s a couple of good remixes out there, but my favorite thus far is the one by Dcup from Sydney, Australia. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I’m slowly building a nice collection of zombie-themed electronic songs – which is just as awesome as it sounds on paper. My latest electro-zombie discovery is the track Zombies by popular UK producer Herve, who I’m growing more and more fond of by the minute. This remix is by Laconic from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Enjoy!

What do you guys think of the new Uffie single ADD SUV? Personally? I like it. It’s kinda mooshy, but it’s different from her usual – no objections here. Maybe it helps that Pharrell is on track. In this particular case, it could also be that Manhattan-based Armand Van Helden remixed this. Very, very nice. ==>

So my other “top jam right now” is the fabulous disco-house track Baby I’m Yours by Breakbot, one of my recent DJ obsessions from Paris, France. The song also features fellow Paris native Irfane. There’s a couple of really good remixes of the song, including ones by Adam Smith (featured on the last NRT) and Jacuzzi Hi-Dive from Las Vegas. As an added bonus, here’s a remix of Breakbot’s Make You Mine by UK’s Go Go Bizkitt!!. Graaaab it.

OK….so maaaybe this is a bit much, but my “top jam before the above top jams” has been Everybody Needs by power combo Oh Shit! and Night Drugs. It’s…ahem…MY ANTHEM. There’s a handful of remixes – all fairly decent. My favorite version is still the edit by Night Drugs, but this remix by Le Doom is pretty sweeeeet as well.

Believe it or not, I like dubstep — the music. The scene? Ehh. That’s why I feel pretty awkward featuring a Rusko track on NRT. But, there’s a good reason. This electro remix by Sub Focus of Rusko’s Hold On (which features Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors) is pretty special. Obviously, I prefer the remix over the original in this case. NRT readers would probably agree.

I feel like I’m surely not the only one who’s been somewhat disappointed with the recent efforts by Crookers – formerly my favorite electro producer duo that I’ve held at pretty high expectations. For instance, their latest single We Love Animals (which features Soulwax and Mixhell) sounds a lot better on paper than it does in the club. Perhaps it was never intended to be a club banger, but irregardless, I expected at least some level of uptempo “catchiness.” Luckily, there have been a number of great, transforming remixes of the song that have made it club friendly, including this one by The Love Supreme from Italy.

9. Crookers – We Love Animals (ft. Soulwax & Mixhell) (The Love Supreme Remix) ★★★★☆

Cyberpunkers? THE NEXT BEST THING. I’m calling it like I see it. This a hard-hitting duo from Italy, who sound like a young, raw version of another Italy pair – maybe you’ve heard of them – The Bloody Beetroots. In fact, this remix of their banger OMG sounds an awful lot like a Beetroots track. Kudos to Tom Deluxx for the added sickness.
