ANYWAY,

I could have swore that ANNIE’s new album Don’t Stop was already released – quite a while ago, actually! :/ But, apparently it is not due until April 27, 2009. The entire album leaked several months ago, and I thought it was quite good. The DESIGNER DRUGS‘ remix of ‘Anthonio’ (or ‘Antonio’, not sure which one it is) has been floating around the blogs for the past couple weeks. I have no idea where this song is from; it doesn’t appear to be on the new album. But, it’s a pretty decent track, and you know how fond I am of Designer Drugs.

I have some more remixes from HOSHINA ANNIVERSARY – not sure if these are older or newer remixes. Nevertheless, they are all quite good and worth checking out. The YELLE track “Ce Jeu” has been remixed beyond count – and I believe it’s because the a capella of the song is readily available – so it is a bit difficult for me to tell you where the Hoshina remix ranks among them. It’s still a good one. Also, I’m surprised there haven’t been more remixes of UFFIE’s “Ready To Uff” out there, which could possibly be the reason why I have a favorable opinion of this remix. I found the remix of “Rombo” by THE BLOODY BEETROOTS a few weeks ago, and I wanted to include it the last nUb Raver edition, but didn’t get a chance. I like that one! Speaking of the Beetroots, a new remix of “Cornelius” was dropped by JOHN ROMAN – who I mentioned briefly last week. The guy is only 19 years old! Regardless, a great DJ indeed! I love his new remix of “Cornelius,” and this gets the nUb Raver stamp for best remix of the week! Check it!

I was very excited to come across the DJ LOVEBOAT remix of AMANDA BLANK’s banger “Get It Now.” Don’t know anything about DJ Loveboat, but he seems to have some good remix choices based on the songs on his Myspace. I’ll have to check them out later. Amanda Blank was supposedly going to drop her debut solo album early this year – I’m still waiting to hear about that. She’s the best. Also, check out the BREAKBOT remix of the YUKSEK track “Extraball” featuring Amanda Blank. I’m a big fan of Yuksek, as well as Breakbot. This remix is not too bad, it’s funkeh!

Not much to say about the BAG RAIDERS remix of “Call Me Up” by CHROMEO. I’ve run into the track everywhere this past week, and I had to check and double check my music library to see if I already had the remix. I’m still not sure if this is a new remix or one that got buried along the way, but it just seems weird that Bag Raiders would remix this song NOW. It’s been done over and over again, and frankly it’s probably been done better as well (i.e. KILL THE NOISE and our good friend, Hoshina). Regardless, it isn’t that bad. If you’re craving some Chromeo, you should grab it.

Also check out another remix from HOSTAGE, who takes on THE PRODIGY’s “Take Me To The Hospital.” Pretty solid.

I found another remix of “Bounce” (featuring N.O.R.E.) by MSTRKRFT, this time by THE DISCO VILLAINS who have done some great remixes. There are more than a handful of really good remixes of “Bounce” out there. This one might not be the best, but it is worth your while.
